Book Share - Video Book Review

If you choose to make a video, it will be posted on the wikispace.

Audience: Other students who may read the book or view the movie.

Part 1

• Introduce yourself to your audience.
• Explain that you are doing a book/movie review.
• Share the name of book/movie and author/director.

Part 2

The main characters are…

• Describe the THREE main characters. Make sure to tell us their names and interesting information about them.
• Who do you think was the most interesting character and explain why?

Part 3

The story takes place...

• Describe where the story takes place. If you are doing a book share, try to show pictures of what you think the place looks like.
• Describe when the story takes place.

Part 4

The story is about….

• Summarize the story. Share the general ideas, no details.
• Describe the plot (exposition, important rising actions, climax and conclusion).

Part 5

The book/movie is about…

• Describe the main idea and themes of the book.
• Identify the genre and explain why it fits the genre.

Part 6

I enjoyed (or disliked) the book/movie because…

• Explain why you liked or disliked the book/movie. Share at least THREE reasons for your opinion.
